Sorry, another question from me!

I was wondering, what cell phones get reception at Lawrence? Specifically, does Virgin Mobile get reception?

I kind of wondered the same thing. Should I just keep using the cell phone I have now, or should I get a new phone there?

I don't know of anyone who has had cell phone reception problems up here. Most students just keep their old phone number.

I have US Cellular and works extremely well here.

I have verizaon, and when I spent a weekend on campus I had 1 to 2 of 4 bars just about everywhere on campus

My son had Cingular and it worked fine and he said it was the cheapest deal he could find. Gave it up since he has a cell phone from home that I pay for (very inexpensive) that he can use for travel and it works everywhere in the world. That is all he needs it for. Didn't need a "daily" cell phone. Talks over the computer.

My D is at Lawrence and has a Sprint phone. She has never had a problem. It is one of 5 phones we have on a family plan to get a good deal. She says she has friends with Verizon who have problems with dropped calls/poor reception on the Lawrence campus. I was just up there to pick her up (and I have a T mobile phone -- because I travel abroad and need GSM) - it worked fine there.
