Does anybody know which cellphone provider works best in Wellesley? I'm currently with T-mobile and they're okay here in East Lansing and it's not the best connection I can't even go in the basement sometimes but at least it works like 85% of the time. I have a friend at Stanford and she said that the only service they have is AT&T and she had to get a new cell for it.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I would be curious to know how well sprint works, since that is what we are on.

PLEASE, IF YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE A PHONE ON CAMPUS, STAY AWAY FROM T-MOBILE. I REPEAT, STAY AWAY FROM T-MOBILE.

Other phone companies work fine, however. Sprint, Verizon, and Cingular all have reception.

wow, haha thanks the_wallflower! now i can tell my parents to get me a new phone ^-^

Oh, snap, I have T-Mobile --guess that's not going to help while I'm visiting Welleslesy.

t-mobile is BAD! look at their coverage map... it seems they purposely miss Wellesley

I guess it'll be the equivalent to falling off the face of the earth when it comes to T-Mobile service down at Welleslesy. Oh well. Who needs cell phones anyway. :(

I have AT&T/Cingular & it had very good signals @ Wellesley

I have T-mobile and when I visited Wellesley, I used it. Didn't have a problem. Of course it was a short visit, and I didn't try it INSIDE.

um when i visited for open campus, tmoble had like no service. the students said Cingular was ok, but Verizon was the best : ) Guess we should all get verizon!

Or Sprint.. Sprint works perfectly fine at Wellesley, inside and outside buildings.

I've heard that the reason why some cell phone services don't provide good reception on campus is because the people of wellesley, ma or the people at wellesley college don't want the cell phone towers because they are ugly. This is what I heard from my host, and it kind of upsets me because I was about to get a new phone (T-Mobile Sidekick II) until I found out that T-Mobile had crappy reception at Wellesley.

Cingular worked just fine for me.
