I want to be able to make calls and text without too much difficulty while on campus. Does anyone know the best cell service provider in the Amherst area?
i have verizon and (imo) it’s the best as far as coverage goes, but i have some friends on sprint/t-mobile who don’t have too many problems.
@slothz I heard that many people don’t have service inside buildings (including the dorms). Did you have that problem with Verizon?
@gogomin yeah, that’s definitely a problem, even with verizon tbh. i think it’s mostly a building issue that isn’t really fixable with any cell service though. you can connect to the amherst wifi when you’re in buildings and your phone should work fine though (unless you’re deep deep in the basement of a particular building)
