What are some crazy ways that you have had your cellphone lost, broken or stolen?

Just counting these past 6 months alone I've had my cellphone stolen three times. Once in Europe, once in my own house and another at school.
My first cellphone I ever got was in 7th grade and within a little over a year I accidentally drowned it when I placed it in my jeans pocket & when the laundry was washed no one had checked the pockets so my cellphone was washed along with the clothes.

So what's your story?

I don’t have one, but my sister washed 5 different cell phones and left one at a harbor

Wow your unlucky, no matter where you go thieves seem to come and take your property.

1) Stolen from Pacha in London.

2) Idiotically, answered my cell in the shower.

My friend accidentally dropped her phone into the toilet and flushed…

^ one time I did that with a sweater

Nothing has ever happened to my electronics. I still have 2 of my old cellphones in my room. I still have my ancient Gameboy advance and SP which have traveled across many continents. My iPod touch is still in good shape. :)

But my dad… oh my. He dropped his last cell phone and smashed the screen. He dropped wallet AND his cell phone in the toilet. Then one time I randomly stumbled upon his lost cell phone at the ice rink??? My dad also dropped and broke our camera.

My first cellphone got dropped in a mud puddle and broke, my second cellphone broke as i was texting in the rain, my third cellphone was lost in the bus and my fourth got stolen at school. So basically im phoneless until this summer… sigh

Talking about cell phone into the toilet. I heard something interesting from NPR the other day about a guy who is a reporter. He stored important info in his cell phone during a business trip. then he dropped it in the toilet by accident. as it was being flushed, he stuck his arm into the toilet to save the phone. he caught the phone but he had to have a ER doc. come to rescue his arm. lol

I destroyed my favorite cell phone by never deleting my text messages. :/

Inbox and Sent folders each made it to 6000 before the malfunctions began. Then I deleted them, but the malfunctions continued, more built up, I deleted them, every time the phone got screwed up or turned on/off, the first 6000 would come back and replace whatever was there, then it finally stopped working.

Lol, some of these stories make me glad my cellphones have only been stolen. If my phone dropped in the toilet it can honestly just stay there

@Xeno, it’s not all bad since I now have the iPhone (the person who stole my last phone also stole my iPod)

My first cell phone: a newly released Blackberry Pearl Cherry - stolen when I went to lunch - along with a $10 buck.

My 2nd one: a silver motorola - dropped from 3rd floor

My 3rd one: flip samsung - lost somewhere I can’t remember

My 4th one: another motorola - My dad’s car crushed it to pieces

My current one: a nokia with a tiny crack. I threw it at the wall this one time.

You don’t use them?

I’m usually careful with my phones, I just drop them a lot and luckily they don’t break (probably because I’m extremely short, it’s not a big fall).

My boyfriend on the other hand, had to shower but didn’t want to stop texting me, so he held it out of the water while he was in there. Most people expect him to ruin it while in the shower, but rather he dropped it walking back to his room, hitting the hard wood floor so had that it became unusable.

Never had any stolen, lost, or broken. I value my money (or my parent’s money).

I broke my Palm phone when I got apple pie in it… For some reason when my McDonalds bag ripped, I decided to put an apple pie (I had bought 4, literally because they were only 2 for a dollar. I was trying to get the most food I could with $2.50 that day) in my pocket; definitely not my smartest moment.
