Central Michigan VS. Michigan State

I am seriously torn on what college to attend. I have been accepted to both and I am a transfer student, they cost around the same. I want to work with animals and the environment so I plan to major in bio and minor in chem. I want to be some sort of field biologist possibly researcher. What school has better science programs. Would I be better off in the long run going to a bigger name school? And the only other difference dorm wise is CMU has bigger dorms more spacious (SO i could bring my 3 guitars and 2x12 amp!!) but honestly I am a no nonsense person I'm serious about my education I want to succeed so badly and I just don't want to make a bad school decision that I will later regret. Feedback would be appreciated.Thank you for the advice guys!

Thank You

If you want to go into research, you need to go to grad school. Getting into a funded one often involves heavy research as an undergrad which Michigan State may provide more opportunities in. Because of that, I’d go to MSU and try to work in a lab from the get go.

MSU. Do research on their programs and resources.

MSU offers more research opportunities, and is higher ranked. I would pick it over central Michigan if I was in your situation. But perhaps there are other reasons why you may prefer CMU.
