If I'm an international student (meaning no green card or us citizenship) currently studying in a private high school in America,
do I have to hand in the Certificate of Finances from collegeboard?
If I do have to hand it in, is there a way to do it electronically? Or do I have to send in by mail????

It would be great if someone can help me out. Thanks!! :)

I have been wondering the same thing too. I haven’t been able to find any site talking about this issue.

Well, hope somebody answers :)

I’m also in a similar situation. From what I’ve found out by calling all my colleges, each has their own policy.

Some require it with the application and therefore don’t consider your app complete without it, some say they would like it around the same time as your application but consider it separate from the main application, some say they don’t require it in order to make an admission decision, but they won’t release that information without it and finally, some only require it once a decision has been made and you enroll.

Whatever happens, you need to submit it at some point in order to get the I20 form require for a student visa.

A side note: The type of form to submit depends on the college. I think most have their own form (and so you fill that it rather than the collegeboard one). I also believe you can instead submit a letter from your bank verifying that sufficient funds are available.
