<p>All international students have to submit a certification of finances. It is to prove you have the money to pay for your school. You cannot get a student visa to come to the US without one.</p>
<p>I don’t think it can be done online as you have to provide supporting documentation (such as bank statements showing you have the money to pay for school, or letters from your bank confirming you have the money). You would need to check with the school you are on attending.</p>
