It is as the title asks.

Um…what Financial aid are you talking about? There are also CSS profile and ISFAA.
Many colleges, but not all require CSS Profile PLUS ISFAA/CoF.

The Certification of Finances form is used to issue your visa documents. The college will probably want it eventually, but not at the time of application if you’re applying for financial aid.

Sorry, I meant CSS. So what you’re saying is not all require both at once right?

Isn’t the certification of finances telling the college that you have the money to attend their school? If you don’t have the money, thus requesting for financial assistance, how can you even fill out CoF?

CSS profile is a FA for private schools, telling about your financial situation; how much you and your parents earned, how much tax they payed, how much they spent, how much they saved, etc. Also you have space to explain your financial circumstances.

b@r!um, when I applied schools, the schools required me to fill in Certificate of finance BEFORE the admission results. I have no idea what other information they need(I mean, they have pretty much everything they need to know in CSS profile) but I had to fill it out anyways. It was pretty similar to CSS profile except much shorter. It asked me future possible earnings and saving as well, which I had to make speculations because…how was I supposed to know what would happen in the future??

But didn’t the Certificate of finance have you sign that you have enough money for the first year?

true but I didnt have ebough money:-( which is why so many schools rejected me
