CFA Help

I am applying for the class of 2021 and the only part of my application that is not competitive is my CFA scores- specifically my push-up and pull- up scores (or lack of)

I can score relatively well on:
sit-ups (70, maybe more now)
mile run (7:30)
shuttle run(s) (10 s)
BB throw (40 ft)

But for some reason even with working out for 6 months has made no progress in upper body strength. I think I could get 30 push-ups max and with luck 10 seconds on the flex arm hang. I am still striving to get better scores and will eventually retake if I can do a pull- up in November or December, but with those scores would it be a pass or fail? Any suggestions on how I can get more upper body strength?

the best way to improve your CFA pushups score is to do pushups. The CFA is not really “Pass/Fail” is it? I know for USMA it’s a fairly small part of the whole candidate score, like 10%
