CFA Level I or "Other"

First post here, great forum.

I'm extremely interested in applying for a few top 25 MBA programs over the next year or two. My undergrad is less than stellar - 3.8 GPA from Texas Tech - Business/Management

Is the level 1 CFA worth pursuing before applying? Or would the 250+ hours of study be better spent on ECs (currently involved in Habitat for Humanity), or some other pursuit? Based on practice exams, expecting to score a 720+ on the GMAT. Currently work as an assistant on a bond trading desk for a large regional brokerage firm.

Any help/advice would be appreciated

"Other."

Most people don't need a CFA exam for admission to a top MBA school. Save your time and $$$.
