In 2006 we got a letter from admissions that stated 5 pull ups was the minimum. That said, the letter also said that they required a standing broad jump and a 300 meter shuttle run. Those events are no longer required so it seems that the CFA has changed somewhat.

My plebe son was only able to do 3 pull-ups when he first tried. After several months of practice and working on upper body strength, he was able to do 17. Find a coach or phys ed teacher and have them help you.

I just took mine for the first time my scores where 64ft, 9 pull ups, 8.2 for shuttle run, 75 pushups, 95 situps, and 6:15 for mile

I think cause i maxed 2 that I should be good...

You should be fine with those scores but, for the record, you must score the minimum in each event regardless of how well you did on the others. Congratulations!

I am doing my CFA and submitting it friday. I can all the other catagories to the avrg. except the pull ups. I am going to give it a go and see what happens.

There is no "5 pull-up" minimum on the CFA anymore for KP.

I personally know of candidates who received appointments last year (2012) to KP with less than 5 pull-ups.

I passed, thanks for the help, i will post back when i get my response from the academy
