Well I took the CFA today and I got the following:

BB throw- 68 feet
Pull ups- 6
Shuttle- 10.4
Situps- 80
Push ups- 50
Mile- 6:34

I was wondering what you thought about these scores. I hope they are good enough to get in.

Most of the scores seem pretty much around the average except the pull ups and shuttle run.

Since you have already taken it, don't worry to much about it and work on the rest of your app. (the CFA is only 10% of your score).

Last year the averages were:

Event------- Male --------Female
BB Throw----- 67 ft --------41 ft
Pull-Ups -------9 ----------- 3
Flex Arm hang n/a ----------19.8 sec Note: 1 pullup gives a higher score than any flex arm hang
Shuttle Run --9.1 sec ------10 sec
Crunches ------72 ----------68
Push-ups ------54 ----------33
1 Mile run -----6:43 --------8:06

Ben is right - you took it now concentrate on the rest of your package. Sometimes admissions will ask a candidate to retake the CFA if they are close so don't fret it. Move on!

REALLY?!?!? I wish i would have know.... I have an LOA and am fretting it worse than ever. I feel that it may keep me from getting in.... I have not taken a full version of the CFA but i have been practicing with the army recruiters at their FSP. I took the APFT and scored a 232 50-push-ups
61-full sit ups (not modified like CFA)
and a 2 mile run in 13 min 22 sec.

i guess my CFA to be 60ft bball throw, 4 pull-ups, 10s shuttle run, 75 crunches, 45 push-ups (i will be tired), and a 6:15 mile
I am going to schedule a practice one for next week with my gym teacher, and then post the real results

Good luck, inhibitor. It's a great idea to do a practice CFA. You'll see what it's like to complete the entire test and your gym teacher will understand the events and scoring better.
