I was accepted to CGS for their Boston London Program. Technically I will start in January due to the fact that I was accepted specifically for the London program. I have heard mixed reviews of CGS. All of the people that I have talked to that were actually in CGS have had positive reviews. I was just wondering what peoples opinions were. I know a lot of people see the program as a way for BU to get money, because most kids in CGS don’t get much money from them, which I have noticed talking to other people that were accepted into the program. Personally I don’t feel that way, but that may just be because they basically cut my tuition in half.

Anyways, just wondering what people opinions were.

I would be interested in thoughts too. I don’t really understand the whole idea that those students are the only ones paying full tuition. CGS is the second largest school at BU, so there are lots of students in the same boat if that is the case. I am sure there are other kids in the other schools that also don’t get any scholarship money too. The program sounds awesome to me (my D accepted), she has been offered lots of $$ at others schools and we are trying to figure out what is best.

Even though people say that students accepted to CGS don’t get money I’m proof that that is wrong. They wouldn’t give me half the tuition off if they didn’t care if I at tented or not. I don’t financially qualify to receive much aid at all. Considering the amount they gave me for academics I’m confused as to why people seem to think that we are like secondary students to them. I’m not buying it. Either way other peoples opinions won’t affect mine, but I am still curious.

Slc, DD did the CGS summer program. The location is excellent…in a great area of london right in the middle of.Kensington. She is now a junior, and is back at BU London doing the COM Internship program. I have commented positively on the CGS program in general on many posts…it is a wonderful program IF you are not a math/science major or interested in Sargent. I dont quite understand…are you saying that you are being admitted to BU for January and doing your first semester in London?
