CH-CH-CH-CHAANCES and Advice Please (JHU, carnegie mellon, UMD)

Hmmm... compared to everyone else i know, I seem to have given no thought whatsoever to where I want to go to college. It also doesnt make me feel any better when I see posts in this forum about eigth graders worrying about their chances of getting into Harvard :(. So please help me out here. The three colleges that i already decided to apply to are Johns Hopkins, C-Mellon (probably reaches), and the University of Maryland (Hopefully a safety). Let me know my chances at these schools and other schools that i should look at.

My plan is to major in Physics. There's a very good chance I might end up wanting to be a doctor, but im reluctant to commit to any career yet. So here are my stats. BTW, I live in Maryland, I am an over-represented minority, Male, not poor or rich, and am a junior at a competitive school.

SAT: 2120 (720M, 680V, 720W(8E)) - I plan to retake. First time, and I did almost no studying. (BTW would waiting till October be too long to retake the SAT I, because i want to take SAT II Chem+Math2c in May and World History in June?)
GPA: Unweighted 3.95/4.00 (Doesn't everyone have that one teacher...
Weighted: idk, more than unweighted...i took mostly G/T and AP classes.
Rank: top 10ish/435
AP: US gov and pol (5), taking chem, calc ab, world history, and english language this year and physics (both of the C ones), english literature, biology, and calc bc next year.
EC's: (Not great)
-National Honor Society (did my community service requirements for this)
-Maryland Technology Honor Society (didn't do much)
-Future Business Leaders of America (competed in one regional competition and got third place)
-Piano (umm...yea)
-Tae kwon do (black belt)
-An internship at NASA last summer and probably another one this summer -Enrolled in a tech-magnet program at my school where i go to an applications and research laboratory and have a 2-period class there (we are building an electrathon vehicle, its like a battery-powered racer that we can drive around in)
-Perfected cold fusion and am in the running for a novel prize...jk :)...i wish

Yea, so any advice/opinions you have will be greatly appreciated, especially about more colleges i should apply to. Thanks in advance.

Wow, I had quite a few typos in there, but i can't seem to figure out how to edit it. If anyone decides to help me out maybe they can tell me that too.

-Maybe you just can't edit the first post in a topic. BTW, the typos had nothing to do with my stats being wrong, i just spelled nobel wrong and forgot to put a space between my last two real EC's.

The NASA internship is definitely impressive. See if you can do that again this summer. You might also consider either getting a job or joining a team of some kind. Is your piano-playing stellar, or just a consistent hobby? Don't drop it either way. Ummm, you're probably good for UMD. As far as JHU or CMU goes, your interest in science and background in it is a plus, as is your GPA and test scores (although if that SAT went up it would probably help). Really, what needs to be solidified here is your EC's. I would try to add something that you really care about (Science Club? Or maybe you could found one, which would look amazing).

Thanks for replying, :).

Yea, I definitely think i can raise my SAT scores. My PSAT was a 220 with an 80 in math, unfortunately I think that's two points below the NMSQT cut-off for Maryland :(. When looking at my SAT, I saw that I got three 1-3 difficulty math questions wrong, and no 4 or 5 difficulty ones wrong, so i guess it was just bad luck or lack of focus. I plan to study a ton over the summer and take it again in October, but is that too late for a second test?

Good shot everwhere but Harvard, which will be tough. BTW, I live in MD as well. What school do you go to?

I go to River Hill High School. You?

BTW, is it worth mentioning on my resume that i got perfect attendence throughout high school, or is that just a wasted line? My school doesn't really tell us anything about colege apps, and my guidence counselor is totally unhelpful.
