Chairing vs Delegate in College Admissions

Hi!

Right now I’m pretty involved with MUN and it is one of my main ECs. I just wanted to ask if Universities view chairing at several MUN conferences or winning several best delegate awards as a more prestigious thing?

Right now I have several best delegate awards and I’m not sure whether I should transition into becoming a chair or not. There are a few conferences that have accepted my chairing applications but I’m not if I should continue to chair.

I don’t have a preference in terms of what I like better so I thought I’d make the decision based on how colleges view the activities.

No one on CC can answer your question with authority. They have no magic ball as to the fine points of an application.

My 2 cents is that if you already have delegate awards and chairing is a step up, then chairing would make sense, show your progression in your EC.
