Challenging math?

I'm A SENIOR in HS. I have not yet taken algebra 2, and I need it for the college I want, UC Davis. I have been told you can challenge the subject at a college and they give you credit if you pass. Is that a solution to whereas staying in a community college for 2 yrs? I know I would have to apply for the next term but is it possible? I don't have much info on challenging math, I've looked and can't get anything.

Thanks alot! I really need this. Sarah

?? Is this not an important enough question for you people, (sounds rude but it's not).

It's more of an issue of not having had experience with this situation and not wanting to offer bad advice.

Go to the section of the left marked Colleges. Then do the alphabetic search for UC Davis - it will be under the letter C for California. Someone on that thread may have experience with this issue.

Yeah I would see that as a problem. Algebra 2 is very low level math. I would say 9-10th grade level. If youre not in it as a senior, this could hurt you a bit if youre on the bubble or it may push you towards the bubble..

Algebra is not a low level math lol its a junior year course for the most part.

Some places will allow you to do this, but college Algebra (the college version of Algebra II) challenges aren't often allowed. If you haven't had Algebra II, I'm not sure how you would pass this test anyway. You should have done Algebra II before senior year. Good luck...
