Chamberlain scholars

anyone know about this scholarship? Is it need or merit based…or both?

prob need based?
idk, but i didn't think bowdoin gave out merit or athletic scholarships.

I goggled and I am guessing that Chamerlain Scholars is Bowdoin's name for their QuestBridges acceptees. From the Bowdoin site:

[quote]
What QB Scholars say about their favorite classes...

"My Substance Use and Abuse class, which was a psychology class. I actually did research on my own on topics that had come up in class and interested me. I was very passionate about this class."
- Alivia Moore, Chamberlain Scholar, Class of 2009

"The most exciting class that I have taken thus far was Africana Studies: Blackness in America. The discussions were thought-provoking, interesting, and sometimes challenging. It was great to hear different perspectives from a diverse group of people."
- Anonymous, Chamberlain Scholar, Class of 2009

Chamberlain is a scholarship dedicated to prospective humanities majors. It is not just limited to Questbridge scholars. I have Chamberlain friends who are not Questbridge and also Questbridge friends who are not Chamberlain. However, I don't know if Bowdoin will continue to offer this scholarship but I know that at least for this year the scholarship has been discontinued.

okay scratch that, I spoke to someone who works with scholarships and the chamberlain IS going to continue to be offered

Its need based.
