My top two college choices that I'm trying to decide between are Chapman University and the University of Washington. I may change my major a little (between Journalism and Communications) but don't know which college would be better for me. Money is a relatively large factor, and UW is significantly cheaper than Chapman. But my parents would rather have me closer to home (I live in California) so Chapman seems better. I don't know which school holds better job opportunities/has better programs for my major, whether it be Journalism or Communications.

Thank you so much for any responses!! Any perspective is greatly appreciated!

Chapman’s communications and journalism programs are nationally renowned, what with the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts (people always seem to forget the latter half of that name…). And I may be partisan, but I’ve always preferred the weather and culture in California to Washington. I’ll also note that Chapman has very good financial aid and actually ended up being cheaper for me than out-of-state state schools like Arizona.

Best of luck in making your choice!

Thank you StrangeBro for your input!! I agree with all of your points. Dodge definitely seems to have a very strong program. I just hope I could qualify for more financial aid!

Thank you again for your response! :)
