Very nervous just turned in my application, resume, and transcripts to Champlain college. Would like some advice, because I know I have to wait to see what they say.
Went to a community college did POORLY there 2.4-2.8. I had to work two full time jobs and had a son, there’s no excuse…didn’t think it would follow me like it did.
I moved and transferred to a diff community college, and started working only one job. I finished my associates degree receiving a 2.8 and a 3.2. Overal graduating with a 2.8 (my old scores and new ones included by the college). It’s not great, but it’s better than it was.
Champlain requires a 2.4, but I’m worried that my poor performance the first school will influence them not to admit me.
1.) do they calculate all of my semesters together to find my GPA, or will they just take my graduation GPA. (Meaning, will they use my poor performance in the first community college).
2.) what shot do I have? Anyone else go to Champlain with a similar experience, or be denied?
Thanks for your responses in advance. In my essay I already explained my hardship for my poor grades, not sure it’s going to matter.
