chance <3

MAJOR: Sociology
GPA: 3.95 (3 w's in intro to psych but i'm taking again in the spring and WILL complete it this time...)
MAJOR PREREQS: Already completed
IGETC: Already completed (except for spanish which will be finished in spring)
EC/TESTS: basketball in highschool...
WORK: full time 4 years
ESSAY: REALLY STRONG
SCHOOLS: ucla,berkeley,ucsb,ucsd,uci,ucr,ucsc

I'm also a ccc student...

3.95 college GPA is very strong, even for UCLA and UCB. Basketball in high school doesn't count for much at all, but if you've been working full time concurrently with school then I'd say you can count on acceptance.

you could take intro to psych online from my CC. It's really easy, 15 week course, 1 quiz (20pts each) and 1 homework assignment (10pts each) each week, with plenty of extra credit. It's really really easy aha.

Match for every school for sure.

Just out of curiosity, where do you work at and how many days/hours a week?

I work about 30 hours a week as a mechanic ;P i love grease

UCLA-in UCB- pretty much in

Accepted. It'd be ridiculous if you weren't! lol.

3.95? is that just one b or two b's?

also, how many units do you have overall?

last question, is that 3.95 gpa the cumulative or cumulative with only transferable units? The reason im asking is because i got a b in a class that is not UC transferable, so im wondering will that B be used in the GPA UC schools use to evaluate my application?

sorry for the dumb question, i just got out of high school lol..

I hope you get into the school of your choice. Good luck...

No, not transferable courses do not count in your UC gpa. UC GPA= UC transferable courses.

Depending on what UC you are applying to and what major within that UC your non UC transferable classes will count! Some schools will use both your overall GPA and your overall UC transferable GPA in the admissions process. You can see for yourself if the overall GPA will affect you in this link.

sorry to hijack this thread, but can you peep my thread malishka? thanks

EDIT: nevermind, thedude44's link answered my question.

i have 50 units completed...
