Please, please chance me for:
Harvard
Princeton
Columbia
Rutgers - New Brunswick
Brown (8-year Med Program as well)
Cornell
MIT (I'm a double legacy)
Duke
U Michigan
Caltech

In at all except maybe Caltech and MIT. Not sure how seriously MIT takes legacies. But good chance at Caltech and MIT. Your first SAT was low, but MIT and Caltech don’t care about verbal scores as much as math so I think you have a good shot.

I think you have a great chance at all the schools you listed, though the Ivies can be a crapshoot…you never really know for sure. I personally think you’ll be a shoe in for U Michigan and Rutgers, though I agree with Brian on Caltech and MIT.

[Please chance me back?](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1391648-chance-grades-reformed-slacker-ill-chance-back.html)

Lol, did you not see that Harvard, Princeton Columbia, Brown, Cornell, and Duke are on his list?

His numbers are far above the medians for all of those schools. The 25th SAT CR and M at Harvard is a 1300 something out of 1600. He has strong numbers and good ECs. The only ones that aren’t an auto in for him are Harvard and Princeton, and I think he has a very strong chance at those.

I think you a very good chance at MIT, Cornell and Caltech, probably more so than the (other) Ivys with the focus on math and science. I’m assuming U Michigan is the safety. I don’t know anything about Brown’s medical program so I can’t comment on that.

You have a diverse background which I think admissions will love.

I would highly doubt you will be accepted to all the Ivy Leagues just because so many qualified people apply and they have so many to choose from, but I’d be incredibly surprised if none accepted you.

@Brain! You have no clue what you are talking about at all…

My younger brother (white, middle class male) applied 2 years ago with a 2400 in one sitting, all 800s in the subject tests, 5s in 13 APs, and fewer extracurriculars than the OP has. He was admitted to every school he applied to, including Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, U of Chicago, Caltech, and MIT. He got a full ride to Vanderbilt and some other schools that were in the mid-20s rankings. He didn’t apply to the lower Ivies and didn’t apply to Yale because he wanted to major in a science.

You people are crazy for thinking the OP won’t get into most of the places he is applying to. He has similar numbers and more extracurriculars. My brother is white, middle class, not a legacy, and got in everywhere.

^^I call BS on 2400 and 13 APs.

??? He self-studied some AP exams on his own that his school was not offering (like Physics C since our school only offered Physics B and AP Music Theory). He’s always been a very good test taker and was also valedictorian. I think his weighted GPA was over a 5.0.

What on earth is a “lower” Ivy?

Ivies outside of Harvard, Yale, and Princeton.

in my opinion, you have great chances of getting into all those schools.

Holy crap. You seem to have an extremely good chance of getting in where you want to go. Will you chance me?

Wow! This is actually really incredible. Good shot anywhere.

Agreed. You have a great chance applying to all of those colleges.

@Brian1 Yeah, that’s some BS. Also, the admissions at Ivies are very much crapshoots.

@OP You have a good chance at all of those schools. It’s a clich
