Chance me for:
UNC-Chapel Hill (out-of state)
George Washington University
Wake Forest University
William and Mary (out-of state)
Ohio State (out-of-state)
University of Illinois (out-of-state)

UNC- You're in!
GWU- You're in!
Wake Forest- You're in!
William and Mary- You're in!
Ohio State- You're in!
University of Illinois- You're in!

Have you considered the Ivies, UCLA, UC Berkeley, and UMichigan? Your stats are excellent, and I think you would get in at UCLA and UMichigan and that you might make it in at UCB and a couple of the ivies!

no no ivies.. I want a college that I can be at least top 10%

UNC-Chapel Hill: Good ACT's and transcript: In (UNC doesn't care about EC's). Mabye scholarship money.

George Washington University: Match - you are way above their stat's for almost everything including activities, grades, and on par with ACT's, but you might be so good that they reject you from tufts syndrome thinking you won't attend. If you get in, you'll mabye get honors college but will get scholarship money.

Wake Forest University: Low-Match. They won't care as much about your ACT score, instead focusing on your essays and grades, being a LAC SAT-Optional school.

William and Mary (out-of state): In. No tufts syndrome since most state u's don't practice that. No Scholarship money.

Ohio State (out-of-state): In w/ Scholarship money.

University of Illinois (out-of-state): In w/ Scholarship money.

why? (10characters)

so I can get into a med school

that is good

thats silly....med schools are not dumb

go for the best school you can get into and do as well as you can

med schools will appreciate that

hey how are my chances for a school like usc looking?

I think that USC is a match for you. I imagine that you will get in and get a fair amount of scholarship $$.

i'm pretty sure with your stats that you should be looking at some ivies...just my $.02

thanks for the replies...as for the ivies, I know I have a decent chance at some of the lower ones, but I want a fun and popular college like unc! and I haven't had too much fun in high school so far...I just can't stand the same old competitiveness I have at my high school where everyone has a book in their hand 24/7. My high school is ranked in the top 80 in the country.. so go figure.. what other fun yet top 30 colleges do you all know of?

You should look at Boston College. It's quite prestigious, but also can be quite a party school. Also I think I read somewhere that they have a very high medical school acceptance rate compared to their peer institutions; you might want to look into this.

I'm applying to Boston College EA, it's quite high on my list :)

UNC and W&M are very difficult for OOS. You have a good chance but nobody is a slam dunk there.

UVA is a sweet ivy-state school and it has a beautiful campus. You might want to consider applying there.

"UNC and W&M are very difficult for OOS. You have a good chance but nobody is a slam dunk there."

With a 4.0 I would say that she is definitely a slam dunk at UNC and W&M. Honestly, OOS admissions at the two are competitive, but not THAT competitive.

hey sorry for bringing this post back up but where else should I apply? im looking for a school with of course good academics but also with a great atmosphere that isn't too hectic.. for major undecided still

I would say that you're in at Wake, OSU, GWU, and UI. You have good chances at UNC but, as I'm sure you already know, it's very competitive out-of-state. My brother goes there (out-of-state as well) but his scores were higher. You definitely have a good chance though. You might also want to look into the University of Miami. It would be another good match for you and they have an excellent pre-med program.

thanks, I really appreciate genuine advice

You can get into all of those schools...but it seems like you care more about grades than anything else. That could make your college experience very bad. You should apply to an ivy.
