Chance a B student for top schools :)

-GPA -> ~85%
-SAT -> 1400 CR+M, 2100 CR+M+W
-Trend: upward, 3-4% each year. Currently 4.0UW w/ 5APs senior year.
-Classes: Math up to CalcII at a community college, Science (AP Chem, AP Bio)

-ECs: Main situation is that my father died in 8th grade and my mother had severe depression and various health problems (several surgeries). I also was sick sometimes because I was worried about our family. I did bad freshman year, with a 80% UW, and it's been going up since then. I opened my business in 2008 and have completed over seven internships before that. My business is a registered corporation that I operate with a partner, and my duties are mainly fiscal and legal: I handle all the accounting, corporate taxes, corporate credit filing and building, payments, merchant and POS systems, and some programming, along with the business plan and tactics. We currently own two patent pending products which are in development and soon to be launched, changing their respective industries for the better. The company itself is a five figure company (midrange).

----- Colleges: NYU Stern CMU Tepper, Emory, RPI, Penn State, UPark (main ones, rest are matches/safties: Drexel, UPitt, etc.)

Essay is about the EC above, overcoming fathers death and opening a business and what I learned/how it shaped my personality. Chances? :D (I will chance back).

Hmm… GREAT SAT SCORE!! Gpa is alright. APs are decent! I think you can definitely get in. Just make sure you ROCK that essay on your dad. Oh… and I am sorry for your loss. :frowning: may he rip. Would you mind giving me your opinion? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/harvard-2014/1221842-four-year-plan.html</a>

RIP

I think you have a great chance at NYU Stern- I know they look for internships, and it’s great that you started your own business!
I visited Stern last weekend, my tour guide (a student at Stern) told me that Stern looks for students who have leadership potential, so your work experience obviously doesnt hurt you.
Good luck!

I think that you have a very good chance of Penn State (UPark). Your GPA and SATs match up well with that, the upward trend helps (and is noticeable), and that EC is something that will probably set you apart.

Thanks, guys! I’ll certainly rechance shorty.

Let me know if there are any other feedbacks, always appreciated :)

By the way, I have more APs than that - those are just this year science.

Total 7, all 5s.

Bump ^^^^^^

Anyone :)?.
