Chance a bad gpa?

Ok well here we go

GPA: 87.7 Unweighted
88.5 Weighted
SAT: Math 640
CR 580
Writing 570

EC's: Key Club, Astronomy Club, Mathletes, Science Olympiads, Volunteer at Fire Dept, 3 years of guitar class

Lets just say i wrote a pretty good essay

What are my chances at:
-SUNY Stony Brook
-SUNY Buffalo
-SUNY New Paltz
-SUNY Albany
-SUNY Cortland

o i forgot 2 years of wrestling 1 year of track and 2 years of baseball in an outside league

can someone please help me i just found out that my gpa is an 88 unweighted (3.3)

Probably your hardest school to get into is stony brook. But with a 1220 sat and an 88.5 I think you might be able to get in. The rest your in… Your STATS sound familiar…what high school do you go to?

one of the better public high schools on long island…why does it make a difference? and can you count sports outside of school as an extra curricular?

Well. If you volunteer for a hospital 3 days a week. Isnt that considered extra curricular? So of course sports outside of school is EC.

You are in pretty good shape for these schools. New Paltz has become much more competitive in recent years and your gpa is on the lower end of what they accept so an acceptance there is a toss up.

what about if i get my unweighted average to an 88 do i have a better shot at those schools and is suny new paltz really that hard to get in, i was considering that as one of my safety schools or should i consider suny cortland or brockport to be my safety?

plz help list some suny safeties for me if you can

You have ea good chance at all of them. People on these boards have a bad habit of exaggerating(Like most people when it comes to college) anything over an eighty is good. Anything over a 1300 on the SAT is good. You’ll be fine Dont hyperventilate lol, although I’m guessing your a New York resident and that you got your results so good luck I guess.
