come on, anyone?

Not to be mean, but how do you figure you will pull a 4.0 this semester? You have retake of your SATs, do applications, essays, blah, blah, blah as well as your classes. You need to look at your college list again. You have your work cut out for you. Good Luck.

well, right now i have an
A in AP CALC AB
A in CP English 4
B in AP GOV
A in Art of Film
B in AP Physics
so I’m pretty sure I can pull a 4.0.

I certainly commend you on your grades this semester after reviewing your grades posted above. Good Luck.

if I apply to NYU and USC, would they factor my senior grades into my application? also, suggestions on my list would be nice.

come on guys, what are my chances at these schools?

please would you guys give me feedback on my list

You have great chances at the UC’s :D

i don’t think you have a shot at these: oxford, emory, NYU… the rest maybe

NYU -------------------------- No shot

Oxford College(Emory) --------- Small chance

USC ----------------------------Maybe, but I know people with better stats that got a no

Those are the ones I know. My guess is the state schools may give you a better shot.

yeah those 3 are my reaches, but I REALLY REALLY WANT to go to USC

just got my SAT scores back- 1910
CR-690
W-650
M-570
I honestly have no idea how I dropped so many points in math.

1910 is OK for NYU. Most of my friends here, however, have around a 2040ish. I think NYU you have solid chances in - but those D’s aren’t excusable. Pre-calc honors is not calculus. They’re going to stick out.

yeah i know, but would my A in AP CALC AB help draw attention away from those Ds?

Yes, definitely. I had a C in Algebra II, and A’s in AP BC.

Do you have a specific reason for attaining those D’s? Did your calculus teacher also teach your pre-calc? If so, I recommend he/she write you a LOR that talks about your progress. Problem is, NYU {and other schools} need a solid record of achievement to go on. Are you applying to Stern?

Well, I was considering Stern but it seems too tough to get in, especially with my grades. I was thinking of going into CAS, and transferring into Stern, but I don’t know if that process is too difficult. The teacher was just very difficult, and moved at an extremely fast pace. She did not curve tests, and was not a very great teacher. No, I have a different teacher for Calc.
