Can anyone chance me when it comes to these schools? I know Stanford and Columbia are DEFINITELY reaches, but I think I'm in the range of the others...I think the schools I want to go to the most are probably Columbia, Stanford, and GWU (although I AM privy to them because I hear they are infested with snooty types and I am not rollin' in dough!).

Thanks

P.S.: I know people here put their rating of how well their rec's and essays are, but I won't. Honestly, we don't REALLY know what the admissions office thinks of them, y'know?

Can anyone out there PLEASE bump me?

stanford and columbia and johns hopkins-forget it, honestly your SATs are too low

GWU, BU, American, Fordham, BC-you should have no trouble getting in multiple of these. go for BU because its the cheapest

you seem like a legit smart kid, SATs and GPA are excellent(not insane) and a great school would love to have you.

American University - in
Boston University - in
Boston College - match
Columbia University - high reach
Fordham University - match
Johns Hopkins University - high reach
Stanford University - really high reach
Washington University in St. Louis - not sure
George Washington University - match

I wrote all of these forgetting that you’re black, though, so I think JHU is a reach. Columbia and Stanford are still reaches; your EC’s really aren’t that great, and neither are grades if you come from a crappy school like you said.

Chance me back plz!!!

i know stanford doesn’t accept january sat scores but what about JHU and columbia? if they do i really think you should retake it. you’re right on the cusp of the 700 threshold for writing and you could def. improve in a month. critical reading def too. math i hear is easiest to improve (though not for me LOL) so you should really try and retake.

if you can get those up and write fantastic essays i think you have pretty good chances at JHU and columbia.

good luck! : )

chance back?
