Have you calculated you UC GPA? Math plus reading SAT? Cal poly only counts math plus reading, and I heard they prefer the ACT.I think Cal Poly slo (as well as UCB, UCSD) is going to be tough.

UCD- reach
UCB - huge reach
UCSD -rather large reach
UCSC- small reach, but looking at those ec’s may help you, and if you have a reasonably good essay, you’re in
San Diego State University/ Cal Poly SLO - you’re in (pretty sure you meet the requirements)
(Virginia Poly Tech/ Christopher Newport University/ University Of The Pacific)-not very familiar with these universities

Those EC’s look good, but all colleges definately look at junior year…emphasize the improvement in your essay

ilurkphat, it’s honors astronomy but it’s weighted so we all just call it AP but you are right.

Shrinkrap, the no was to the UC GPA? What is that, my SAT I CR+Math is 1260 (660 Math 600 CR, 500 Writing).

My essay should be really good, I have a unique “woe is my childhood” spin on it and how it got me wanting to work for NASA. Thanks for all the help so far! As far as GPA goes, I am planning to work my ass of next year.

Ah! That 1260 is much better then 1760. Here’s a link to calculate your UC GPA. It’s the only official weighting for UC’s.Only sophomore and junior grades usually count.
