ULTRA Reach. Cornell’s engineering program is one of their hardest programs to get into. Your stats don’t even put you in the 25th percentile for the school OVERALL. I’d look into UCs and Cal States.
Oh I though that the engineering sat mid 50 scores were 1430-1530 or something like that. Correct me if I’m wrong
@the1carl Mid 50 means 25th percentile to 75th percentile. Also pretty sure Cornell’s engineering school has higher stats than that, maybe you’re looking at the University average? Yours is slightly higher than the 25th percentile for the SAT but your ACT and GPA are well below what Cornell looks for. You have to understand the people who get into Cornell with stats like yours are from wealthy donors, athletes, URMS, or have another convincing hook. Your application really doesn’t stand out with those stats. Apply as a reach, expect the worst but hope for the best.
