I'm currently a junior living in Germany, hoping to attend either: Penn (ED), Carnegie Mellon, Duke, Vanderbilt, Stanford, Yale, Princeton, Harvard, Washington University at St. Louis, University of Chicago, John Hopkins, Cornell, MIT, or Caltech. Obviously, these are all reaches for me, so if you have suggestions about safeties/matches, please suggest them. I'd like to know in particular my chances at PENN (ED), CARNEGIE MELLON, DUKE, YALE, and CORNELL.

GPA: 3.5-3.6 UW / out of 4.0
I went to the #1 Prep School in the United States and maintained high honors. My GPA dropped during Sophomore year (I got a 3.2 GPA). I have maintained a 3.9 GPA during my junior year however (albeit at a different school, which is also very respected)

ACT: 35 (34 E, 36 M, 32 R, 36 S)
PSAT: 224 (75 CR, 78 M, 71 W)
SAT II: Math IIC 800, Physics 770 - will take English, World History, Biology and Spanish (maybe)

I currently go to one of the most respected international schools in Europe. I am predicted 42 out of 45 for the full IB diploma (I am taking 4 HL courses rather than 3). I am taking HL Calculus (a senior course), HL Physics, HL Economics, HL Biology, SL English A1, and SL Spanish A2. In addition, I am taking 4 AP exams this year as a junior.

I know that I will receive one recommendation that says "blah blah blah is one of the greatest students I've had in 30+ years of teaching", but I think my other recommendation will be nice, but very conservative. My essays will be amazing, as they will be edited by 2 students who attended Harvard and Penn respectively.

In terms of Extracurriculars:

I am president of two clubs at my school
I am an active environmentalist; in addition to many activities related to this, I was invited to attend a conference for 100 of the most environmentally active high school students in the nation.
I started a program that donates several thousand condoms every year to a project in Africa(where I lived and visited for several years)
I am captain of the math team, and won an award at the ISMTF (international senior math competition). I have qualified for AIME as a sophomore and junior.
2 year varsity athlete (Track) - I sux though
I speak four languages- Chinese, English, Spanish, and German
5 years of Piano (Royal schools of music certificate for theory and playing)

I don't want to come across as a typical "nerdy" asian student, because that has always been the stereotype I've been trying to shed since going to prep school and living in Europe and what not. My inclination toward the sciences and math though make me seem as if I'm lopsided in my interests and strengths, a fairly strong math student, but nothing special. I don't know what I'm trying to say in this paragraph here- I know that in college, I won't just be locking myself in a room and studying. I'll devote myself to making the most of college (not in a bad way), and bring a lot of energy and passion onto the campus. I also don't want to come across as a slacker though who'll drop his studies; I've been trying all I can to make amends for my low GPA in sophomore year, with my 35 ACT and what not.
