haha I don't even really know how to format these... so um, chance me for Rutgers New-Brunswick SAS please? (School of Arts and Sciences)

I'm an in-state student going to a public high school...

(no class ranking)
SAT: 2260 (770 CR, 720 M, 770 W)
SATII: 700 Bio-E

ECs: solid, kind of boring. choir, debate team, school newspaper, all 4 years. ran winter track 1 year. a smattering of honors societies (spanish, english, science), ~1 year.
Volunteering: decent, still boring (pattern?). 100+ hours at a home for elderly.

Awards: National Merit Semi-Finalist

Other: middle-class, asian. hoping for scholarship, though that seems a bit unlikely.

thanks! i feel encouraged :)

bumpppppppp

Seems like you’re in; a lot of kids from my high school go to Rutgers with much, much worse grades (3.5 GPA) and 400 points less on the SAT! (It is the top public high school though)

Good luck, and good luck getting a scholarship!

In, possibly a scholarship and honors.

Get some reaches in there.

Chance back please.

I would be shocked if you didn’t get in. Your SAT and GPA are WAY above what’s necessary to get in, and you have pretty good EC’s. You’ll probably get some form of merit scholarships. I know there’s the Bloustein Scholar ($1000) award given to any NJ public HS student going to a NJ public U in the top 10%, which you probably are in, regardless of financial status.
