Chance A Chinese Floridian please =]

<p>Volunteering:

<p>My family immigrated from China about 10 years ago, and we've been moving around a lot due to continually changing jobs. Currently, my mom and dad live 8 hours away from each other because of our job situation (neither can afford to give up their job). I have to babysit 2 siblings(7+8) every day, so not much free time</p>

<p>yeah seriously you'd be pretty solid even without your particular family circumstances (although a tad weak on the leadership ECs, I guess... But POETRY as a first generation chinese immigrant?? hats off to you my friend)</p>

<p>if you let those admissions officers know about the commitments you have to make, and the time you spend for your family instead of stocking up on extracurriculars like other kids, you're in for sure (mind you, your ECs are strong already; just maybe not as intense as some yale applicants)</p>

<p>Yea i really wanted to take euro, mainly cuz of the teacher - i love her personality. But I had her for world history, and she just gives wayy more work than i can handle this year. Her class alone took more of my time than the other 5 combined. </p>
