Chance a class of 2014 cc'er for BS/MD

<p>Hi Guys! I'm currently a junior and I'm interested in pursuing the 7 year med program. My top two are Boston U SMED, or GW 7 year, please feel free to suggest others :)</p>

- Mu Alpha Theta (try for leadership next year)
- Science National Honor Society
- Mock Trial, team captain, outstanding witness awards
- Founder of Amnesty International
- Founder of Red Cross Club (tentative)
- Shadowed under a doctor at Emory twice
- Recipient of PVSA (4 years gold medal)
- Peer Leader at School (30 out of 810)
- Member of School's Leadership team (10 chosen out of 810)
- Over 1000+ volunteer hours working with local community groups
- Team lead for religious service group
- Attended National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine at Emory
- Duke TIP, and SIG
- Will study at Georgetown over the summer</p>

<p>Do you think you can get your rank up by the end of junior year? You had pretty similar stats to mine (better sat ii). But I’m 3rd in my class and have a pretty high gpa, but didn’t get an interview for either. I hope that doesn’t discourage you because med programs are pretty unpredictable. I know kids with amazing stats that don’t get in. I think you should look into more ba md programs and apply to as manny as you can! Goodluck!</p>

<p>Also, try to do a bit more volunteering in the medical field. Last summer I had a research internship and shadowed a physican and it was really helpful!</p>
