chance a confused junior please!

I am a junior and I am starting the college search, but I am really lost about which schools I should be looking into and visiting. i really need advice about what level of schools i should be looking at or any school in particular. I've been looking at colleges mostly in the northeast but I think I'm pretty open to most areas. I am wondering what my chances are for NYU, Columbia, Bard, Middlebury, Connecticut College, UConn and maayyybee Yale. I am interested in psychology and becoming a therapist, but i am also very intrested in law.

thanks so much!

Right now, NYU, Connecticut College, Bard, and the University of Connecticut will no problem at all for you to get into.

To get into Columbia and Yale, you need to do well in that debate competition (finalist or winner would really look good)--and you'll need to bump up the SAT scores in CR and Math (right now, you look to be 670 and 700 for a 1370 score--about good enough for Cornell and maybe Brown. To get into Columbia, plan to move that up to 1450--and for Yale, plan to be over 1500). Also, plan to move your rank up to top 7 for Columbia or top 3 for Yale.

P.S. If the scores don't go up, consider Cornell, Brown, or Penn--and maybe schools like John Hopkins and Colgate and Georgetown. (presuming you stay a 4.0 student)

Good luck.

thanks so much, thats really helpful information!
hopefully my SATs will be much better
and i did get finalist in the debate competition (but we totally got robbed, the other team even thought they lost, but oh well, c'est la vie)
