Great essay
Great recommendations

I want to major in Biology.

bump…

I would say you have a decent chance for vandy as long as your essays and recs are indeed strong as you said. I would say the SAT scores are a little weaker especially Sat IIs, so if you can retake those for 700+ that would help.

thanks any more??

Your trip to Fiji will really get you up there, paying all of that money to help others (trust me, i know how much those things cost). How many hours of volunteer service do you have altogether? That would help. if you have 300+ then thats awesome. Also your EC’s are all volunteering and being in school clubs. Colleges like vandy like well-rounded people. Get a job! I know its hard but if you have any connections or possibilities go for it, it will not only boost your morale when youre making money but itll tell colleges that youre so serious about having a career that youre starting early. Im assuming that youre class of 2011, so if you have any special talents or abilities (i.e. musical ability or athletic ability) then take advantage of it. A varsity sport or a member of the school jazz band would certainly show your roundedness.
