Tufts
Stanford

Drexel University (safety)

In addition to chancing me, could you also provide match schools for me that have neuroscience, neurobiology, or biopsychology majors?

Thanks in Advance!

I think you have an awesome chance at all of those schools

though still it would be a lot better with +100 SAT points or so

If you get a 2250+ on the SAT I would say that you will make it into at least one ivy. Hopkins is a match, Tufts is practically a safety.
Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and Dartmouth are reaches, but I think you will get into one or two.
Good luck!

You should consider Rice and Chicago.

Or Washington University in St. Louis' Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology program. They also have the University Scholars Program (guaranteed admissions to their Med school).

UPenn is also a possibility (they have a biology program called something like behavioral biology, basically neuroscience with a twist)

I wouldn't be suprised if you got into more than 75% or even 100% of your school's considering you're a urm with great stats.

In at all most likely...

thanks!

regarding my SAT, I will be retaking this Nov...aiming for a 2250+ :)

HOLY CRAP. In at most, if not all.

i second the post above me.

question:

Since I got a 5 on AP chem exam, do you guys think that i should take Lit. SAT II instead of chemistry, or should I just take the SAT II chem since I know i can do well on it?

people keep telling me to take lit. I took a practice test and score 780 (from Kaplan)...so I'm seriously considering it now...

To be honest I think that colleges like to see more unusual or interesting SAT IIs rather than the norm. My sister took Spanish as her SAT II and it resulted in a substantial scholarship from one of the schools she applied to. If you feel confident that you can do well on the lit exam, go for it. If chem is more comfortable, that is fine too. It won't make a huge difference, but getting a 750 on lit instead of an 800 on chem might make a difference.

Yale SCEA is a stretch, because of your SATs. But, if you retake and get above 2300, you'll be a good shot at all of the colleges.

Good luck!

You have a great resume. I think the fact that you are black will give you a great opportunity anywhere you apply

Ew, both you and Rocky are applying Yale SCEA.

You guys suck.

Good chances at in everywhere. In at Yale SCEA.

you've finally joined us! welcome to the chance thread world.

Harvard- uhhh duh
Yale SCEA- accept
Johns Hopkins- accept
Tufts- that lovely syndrome may do some interesting things
Stanford- i won't let you go here/waitlisted
Dartmouth- easy accept
Drexel University (safety)- hmmm...

also i would just be safe with my SAT choice. Just do chem. OR! take a risk and do math, chem and lit...

You won't let me go to Cali :(

and angel, don't hate on yale scea :) you know you love it...

Have you thought about UCB? I think it would be a good fit (and a match).
