I want to major in Chemistry and follow the pre-med track.</p>

<p>Extra Curriculars:
-9th through 12th grade: foreign language club. Treasurer in 9th grade and 12th and secretary in 10th.
-Science club: 10th through 12th. currently V.P.
-Mock trial: 11th and 12th
-National junior honor society: 9th-11th
-National honor society- 12th (secretary)
-started a club that raises money to build schools in developing countries. I am going to a developing country this summer to actually build a school- member, president 12th grade, and founder of the chapter at my school. I received a LOR from the advisor of this club.</p>

<p>Volunteering:
-summer of 10th grade: Blind Association in India for 3 weeks
-my local hospital for 15 hours
-so far I have 50 hours from the nonprofit I'm working w/ to start my club.</p>

<p>I’ll chance you! UPenn as I’m sure you heard is definitely going to be a high reach for you (especially with that “low” GPA and the low SAT score) but I think Duke is a strong possibility of acceptance. Just keep the grades up. Stony brook and BU you’re in and I think the others are low reaches with the exception again of Penn which is high.

<p>I do not think that Duke is that much easier to get into than UPenn is,especially with no real hooks. BU and Stony are matches, the rest are at best a low reach.</p>

<p>I definitely realize that UPenn and Duke are SO hard to get into! I just applied for the heck of it. I’m really interested in Northwestern and Rice though, even though I know that those schools are really prestigious and hard as well.</p>
