If you have the most rigorous course load available at school and nothing surprising in recs and your essays are solid. I would say excellent

@privatebanker Ok, thanks. I didn’t take the most rigorous course load my first two years, but I have taken pretty close to the most rigorous one my last two years. Additionally, I did have some health issues my first two years of school which I wrote about in the additional comments. Was slightly surprised by the deferral, until I saw 16k applied. Cautiously optimistic about RD.

If you poke around the internet or old forums here, you can probably figure out the percentage of deferred applicants who were admitted RD in past years. That should give you a pretty good idea of what your chances are. Also, do you know what percentage of the ED applicant pool got deferred by BC this year? It can vary greatly from school to school. Generally speaking, the higher the deferral rate, the worse your chances during the RD round.
