Hello guys!

I'm a senior international student and I'm currently doing IB Diploma right now.
My school doesn't weigh GPA nor the class rank.
I applied for UIUC early action but unfortunately received deferred..

UIUC doesn't look at senior grade - too bad, my test results improved a lot :(

11th grade:
So my IB subjects and scores are
English A1 HL first sem:5 / 2nd sem: 5
History HL first sem: 5 / 2nd sem: 4
Business HL 1st sem: 5 / 2nd sem: 5
Chinese B SL 1st sem: 7 / 2nd sem: 7 (btw, my first language is not Chinese nor English)
Math SL 1st sem: 5 / 2nd sem : 5
ESS SL 1st sem : 6 / 2nd sem : 6
my bonus point is between 1~2.

10th grade:
And I did IGCSE and received IGCSE merits. I transferred to this school in the second of IGCSE, so my scores are low.
English as a 1st language B
English Lit C (i studied it by myself and failed)
Korean as a first language B
Chinese as a second language A
Math Extended A
Drama B
History B
Business C
Coordinated sciences (double award) core: DD (for the core, the highest score that you can get is C)

I know my GPA in 9th grade (my previous school)
my GPA was 3.7/4.0
but my old school didn't tell us the class rank as well.

SAT:
CR: 590 M:720 (W:700 with essay 10. another one 660 with essay 11. but UIUC doesn't look at writing, so doesn't count)

TOEFL:
106(R:25 L:25 S:26 W:30)

I didn't take any other tests like ACT or APs.
UIUC doesn't accept SAT IIs.

(5)Annual Award: Geometry in 09/10

After I got deferred, I wrote a handwritten letter/e-mail to the director of undergraduate admission. I'm not sure whether she has received it or not - I haven't received a reply from her, and I tried to track my FedEx shipment but I don't have tracking numbers so I just manually sent an email to FedEx. Anyway, in my letter, I believe I effectively showed my continued interest (getting 11 on SAT essay + 30 on TOEFL writing = shouldn't be no problem with expressing my interests)

Also, before I sent a letter (but after I got a deferral), they contacted my counselor and asked him how I am like. May be it is a good sign?

Thank you guys and please chance me!!
Happy New Year! :D
