<p>Hey :) I'm a junior at a private school and I'm really interested to see what you guys think my chances are at Stanford and Yale (my dream schools).</p>

<p>My UW GPA is 3.93 (1 B my freshman year) and my W GPA is 4.6.
I'm ranked #3 out of 210 students.</p>

<p>SAT I: 2350
SAT II: Hebrew:770 Literature:780 Physics:760
AP's: Lang:5, Calc AB:5, US:5, Psych:5, ArtHist:5, Chem:5, French:5
Senior Year: Literature, Calc BC, Physics, Euro, Bio</p>

<p>EC's:
Acting-
-Drama Club: VP, will be President next year...I've starred in 6 shows.
-Theater Company: I've been a part of prestigious local theater company since middle school. Since 9th grade, I've starred in 4 shows (including summer)
-My friend and I started a summer theater series which we're debuting next week!
Television/Film: I've starred in a couple of independent films - one of which will be shown at the Sundance Film Festival this year. I've also had some cameos on television shows.</p>

<p>Music-
I've played the piano for 10 years, acoustic guitar for 8 years, and electric guitar for 5 years. I sing and play the guitar in a rock band. We've won 3 local competitions and are in the midst of getting a record deal. In terms of piano, I still perform sometimes, though I competed more when I was younger. I'm probably ranked 10th in the state or so. </p>

<p>Field Hockey-
Varsity team for 4 years, won State Championship 3 years, Co-Captain next year</p>

<p>Volunteerism-
-Every week for the past 2 years, I've performed with my band at a local senior center and played the guitar at a program for autistic children.
-I'm also involved in a local program that puts on plays at nursing homes/hospice, etc and does acting classes with autistic kids.</p>

<p>Work Experience-
-Counselor at my theater company's summer camp
-I give guitar and piano lessons.
-Waitress</p>

<p>Some other random hobbies of mine are sewing and photography. I actually have a little fashion design business.</p>

<p>Cool ECs, great scores, and good grades: you have excellent chances everywhere.</p>

<p>Yay, another guitarist! Your academics/testing are awesome and you also have a nice range and depth in ECs. HYPS are tough for all of us but I think you have a good shot at them.</p>

<p>I have a feeling this will be somewhat of a hook. This, combined with all the other awesome ECs you have. And your great SAT scores, and your grades. Yeah you have a shot, no doubt. It all comes down to luck in the end, but you have a shot.</p>

<p>Wow bud, GREAT stats. Use your guitar to your advantage. Write em through your essay, make your guitar a metaphor to your life or w.e. It’ll greatly come to your benefit, adcoms notice a ‘theme’ like that.</p>

<p>SAT’s are great, GPA’s great, great EC’s (though your lacking ‘normal’ club involvement, I’d be ten times more impressed w/ this).
Both are reaches (pretty dam good for Yale/Stan)</p>
