Hi, I’m a current senior applying to Yale early action and then Stanford, Harvard, Princeton, Berkeley, UCLA, and Dartmouth during the regular season. (Don’t worry, I have plenty of safeties).
STATS:

ECs: All of my major ECs are all in one VERY well-known volunteer organization. I don’t want to say the exact one because I know that some of my peers go on this site and I don’t want them to know my username. I hold several positions of leadership and have contributed a lot to the organization.
Recs: I didn’t read them but the two teachers both liked me a lot and said they were glad that I asked them. One is my former art history teacher, who REALLY likes me. My other rec was from an adult who worked with me in my EC but it didn’t get sent to Yale.
Essays: Common App was about my disconnect and reconnection with my Spanish identity over time. Don’t know if this is cliche or interesting.
Projected Major: Art History
Ethnicity: Hispanic (Spain) and white. You can pick both on the Common App
.
Hooks: Legacy for Yale, Hispanic, father died in 8th grade and I had to help care for my two younger brothers, wrote about this in my “additional info” essay and my counselor put it into the recommendation too.
Do I have a chance at any of those schools? Particularly Yale early.
