Chance a fellow CC'er for several schools

<p>I do not have the typical academic resume like most CC'ers because my freshmen year GPA was a 3.0. My overall GPA has increased every year. I plan to write about my freshman year grades in my essays and how I have matured and learned a lot since then. I was more focused on playing basketball during freshman year than academics. When I did not make the team sophomore year, things changed. I did a lot of maturation during sophomore year and my grades increased, I became more active in my community and around school, and I have held a part-time job since sophomore year. </p>

UW GPA: 3.5 (approx, could go up during first half of senior year)
W GPA: 3.75 (approx, could go up during first half of senior year)
SAT: 1870 (do not plan on retaking) </p>

<p>Cumulative numeric average: 90
Class Rank: Not particularly sure right now but I think I am somewhere in the 25% to 33% range.
I have increased the number of rigorous courses each year. My grades have increased as well. </p>

<p>If anyone could suggest good business schools that you think I would have a decent shot at that would be great. At the moment my reaches are Wake Forest and Virginia. Are these reasonable reaches? Can you suggest any other good business schools that might be good reaches?</p>

<p>Clemson: Just get your GPA up and I think you’re in, even if you don’t you still have a high chance.</p>

<p>Elon: Same as above</p>

<p>UG: Your in.</p>

<p>Wake Forest: Ehhh your SAT is OK for this, but the GPA man probably not. Get that up to 3.75 or so. Still a chance.</p>

<p>I think you have a shot at Clemson and South Carolina.</p>

<p>However, why are you only applying to schools in your geographic region?.</p>

<p>I would advise you to “diversify” a bit more.</p>

<p>Also, why not take the SAT again?</p>

<p>If they superscore, you have nothing to lose.</p>

<p>I would prefer to stay either along the east cost, or close to home. Did you have any schools in mind? I suppose I could take the SAT again but I wonder how much of a gain I could make due to my busy schedule. My senior schedule is pretty rigorous and my primary goal is to get my GPA up. Not sure if such a small gain in the SAT department would be worth the time.</p>
