Last bump , i guess …

Stanford: Reach

Thank you catria :)

You have a shot at all but How much depends on financial need.
Purdue and TAMU are both academic safeties but not financial.
If you have zero financial need include michigan

Which country are you from, as that might have an impact.

I’m an Indian student from Qatar too! I was really hoping I wasn’t alone in my dream to study abroad! I am in Grade 10 right now and I have an EC list similar to yours - Over 10 National Debate titles, 2 International Quiz championships (On TV), over 120 public speaking prizes - a dozen or so of which are National. Awarded by the Supreme Council of Health for debates and awarded a position by the Supreme Council of Education for Scientific research in the prestigious National Student’s Research Fair. A CGPA of 9.6 in 9th (Or 96% overall) and a CGPA of 10 in 10th so far (or 100%) - All my grades this year have been A1.

I was the Best delegate in MESMUN 2012 - and will be applying to several international MUNs next year. I am working on a novel and also an economic thesis of my own.

Now that you’ve read about me, I would like to ask you a favour. Since you have tried and tested the application procedure, could you be my guide?

I rally, really need an experienced Indian student’s help to stand a chance of ever getting in. Could you please contact me soon?

By the way, which college did you get into?

Hey aspirationist, I actually did not get into a college yet. I am in the process of applying to various colleges , and am in the 12th grade.
However, in my experience, as an Indian student in the middle east, the best thing you can do so far is work on your EC’s, which I must say are astounding. Hats off to you ! In the 11th grade October, write your SAT and if you are comfortable enough with your subjects, the SAT subject tests and your TOEFL , though I am not sure how long the scores are valid ( I wrote mine 2 weeks ago) . Your grades are important , from what my senior in Princeton told me , so work on getting a 9.8 or 10 in your 10th.

I would be glad to help you, so do contact me if you need help, but don’t really sweat it in 10th grade. Start thinking seriously from next year.

@MYOS1634 , I do not have any real necessities for financial aid, though merit based scholarships would be nice if I can get them.

@Londondad , I am an indian living in qatar ( middle east) .

Hmm; I’m too international student with the same list of universities. You should know that colleges like MIt and stanford are reaches for everyone. I can just say that there are a lot of applicants from India, so it would be quite difficult for you.
By the way, what is your gender?

Male , so that might make it worse :/
