Chance a freshman for TAMS!

The Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science (at the University of North Texas) is a highly selective program for juniors and seniors living in Texas. Only about 200 sophomores (only from Texas) are accepted into it for their junior year each year.

TAMS students graduate in two years with an advanced high school diploma and 60 or more transferable college credits – enough to start their college junior year at UNT or other universities nationwide, two-years ahead of their age-mates. (copied from website)

Prolly good recommendations/essays/interview

Please tell me how I stand!

I’m a junior at my second semester at TAMS. The very fact that you will already have taken Calculus III in the tenth grade makes you an automatic shoe in. While TAMS is selective, somebody starting out in Div Eq is pretty much an auto acceptance. You’re going to get in no worries.

However, out of curiosity, I notice that your SAT score is low considering the rigor of your course load. May just be me, but somebody who plans on taking Div Eq and Calculus III their sophomore year I expect to have slightly higher SAT scores. No worries though, I’m sure you’ll get in anyhow.

U have amazing chances.
I got into TAMS but declined because I wanted to have my HS experience.
and I had lower stats than you.
I say ur in :)

All the very best :)

ur CR score is a bit weak tho. 700+ is safe.
But yeah, I think besides that u should be fine.
