Chance a friend for Amherst College?

Hi everyone. I'm a rising junior (who also likes Amherst), but this thread is for my friend who's a rising senior; she wants to know if she has a good chance at Amherst because it's her dream school, but is reluctant to make a CC account. So here we are.

Caucasian female from NY
Intended Major: Neuroscience and maybe English, but primarily Neuroscience

ACT: 35
SAT: 2300
SAT II: Biology (E) - 790, Math 2 - 760, Spanish 800
GPA: School doesn't have a 4- or 5-point system, but her overall average is a 97/100 (all advanced/honors/AP/IB courses since eighth grade)
Full IB Diploma (expecting a score in the high 30s/low 40s)
13 APs: Mostly 5s, I think four 4s

First generation student
Income: <60,000 combined (parents are separated)
National AP Scholar
National Merit Finalist (expected? She was vague about this...)

Treasurer and later President of Biology Club
President of NHS
Treasurer of Tri-M
Spanish Honor Society
Cello player - school and somewhat prestigious local orchestra
Class VP and later President
Math Team
Freshman mentor/Link Crew leader

Summers:
Tutored someone with Autism*
Research at a chemistry lab (published)*
Research at a neuroscience lab (published)
Worked at town hall

Essays & Recs:
I'm sure CA essay will be great because she's a fantastic writer (*I think they'll be about this summer), and the Amherst essay will be just as good if not better, since she's so interested in the school.
Rec1: Spanish teacher for two years and Class Adviser (observed leadership from student council)
Rec2: TOK teacher who helped her self-study for the AP Gov exams
Again, I'm sure they'll both be glowing. Her guidance counselor also loves her, apparently, and they're in contact often.

She took two college courses online (grades of A), too. Oh, she also volunteered for about for about 250 hours at a library. Tutoring was around 100, chem lab was 120, and neuro was 200. Thank you! :)

Bump bump bump. She’s also applying ED; I’m not sure if I mentioned that. And she’s interested in Bowdoin, Wesleyan, Hamilton, and Brown (all RD). Any insight?

Please? Anyone?

Ha, maybe I’ll just have to convince her to set up her own account and post her own thread…

She obviously has a very strong chance of getting in. However, because she is white her chances are hurt…Amherst acceptance rate of white males is 6 percent probably a tad higher for white women though.
I’m going to Amherst btw…wish her good luck.

Obviously the admittance rate for Amherst is low, but still, she has an incredible chance of getting in.

Good luck to her! :)

“Obviously the admittance rate for Amherst is low, but still, she has an incredible chance of getting in.”

Not true!
She has solid chances at Amherst!

No unhooked applicant has “incredible chances” at top colleges.
