University of Illinois urbana-Champaign: match
UC-Berkeley: low reach

LOVE your EC’s. Bollywood dancing!
You seem like a very unique applicant. University of Chicago is always looking for that “unique” factor in students, so make sure you really convey that with your essays. I’d say you are an extremely qualified applicant for the University of Chicago, but I would suggest applying to other private top-tier (ivy leagues).
Just looking through, I would say a safety for you would probably be UCLA…but just to be safe safe safe, apply to a lot of schools! All those acceptance letters would give you an ego boost.
chance back please!

UChicago: Reach
UPenn: Reach
Harvard: Reach
Columbia: Reach
Cornell: Reach
UIUC: Match
UCB: Reach

You can try U Toronto as well.

Your ACT and ECs are terrific, but your GPA and estimated rank are VERY LOW for top schools. With the exception of Illinois and Indiana, none of the schools you list accept any significant percentage of students outside the top 10% and you are not close to that at 25 - 30%. Most of these schools are looking at Top 5% and higher, while Harvard wants vals./sals form the top high schools. Therefore, I am somewhat less optimistic than the other posters and guess: Harvard less than 1%; Chicago, Columbia, Cornell = high reaches of less than 15%; Penn ED, Berkeley OOS = reaches of less than 33%; Michigan OOS = low reach, ie 50/50; NYU = low match 50 - 66%, and Illinois and Indiana = safeties.

Indiana University is a safety now…

Thanks for your responses guys…

I know it doesn’t make much of a difference, but i’ve taken the hardest classes at my school included AP’s in Physics, Macro, Micro, Human, European history, Language and comp. Calc BC, Lit.and comp as well as APush

I’m really focusing on writing good essays to at least ease my low GPA

last time Bump :P
