< jhu class of 2016 >
well, i have never chanced students before ^^
try your best within your limits to ace the sat and ap…
admission decisions are very mysterious…

try to have one super outstanding ec?
make sure you know and show your deep knowledge of your interest (biomedical engineering)
… college applications are just going to get more and more competitive

I’ll be interning next summer (2013 summer) and work at a hospital?

Will those two work? >.< Where else can you do do biomed?

Kimmylouie, a TON of my friends are BME’s. One thing they all said was that the BME admission person really looks favorably on research. Your internship at the hospital will help a bit, but I recommend contacting a local college and see if there are any research opportunities. Since you’re such a good student (and a fairly strong candidate for JHU), most community colleges would be happy to take you on for research. My sister’s also a rising Junior and plans to apply to JHU for BME. I think she may be doing this research program at Duke. Maybe you could look into that (if you’re close enough).
Also, don’t quote me on this, but I think most colleges rather you use teachers from your Junior and Senior year as recommendations since they are the ones that know you best at the moment you are applying.

But beyond that, just keep up the good work! And remember- Everything boils down to how well you sell/present yourself in your essays. Good luck!
