Chance a Future Rice Hopeful!

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>Well i am interested in Rice U. and also interested in pre med .. i like Rice's smaller environment .. it works well with my small high school and middle schools.</p>

<p>Courseload: Very Demanding IB Program GPA:Fresh 3.7 UW, Sopho 3.7 UW, Junior 3.8 UW</p>

<p>Predicted IB scores might be like 5,5,6,6,7,7 So like 36... this is just a guess... to put it into perspective worldwide average is 29-30. Then again its just a guess ... i may actually do better.</p>

<p>Rank:5/53 (all smart people) I am an International South Asian.
No Financial Aid Needed.. thank god</p>

Math:760
Writing:720
Reading:660
Total:2140
(should i retake?)</p>

<p>SAT 2s:
Will take Math 2, Bio and Chem. Probably between 670-730 ish</p>

(~300 Hours)
-Hospital, Youth Assisting Youth, Red Cross, Muscular Dystrophy, Senior's Care.</p>

-President of Medical Society-raised ~2000 Dollars

-Relaxation Therapy Club(deals with IB stress lol)

<p>With all this being said, what do you guys think my chances are at RD?</p>

<p>We'll say what we say every year :-). If you really want to go to Rice than apply. None of us really have any idea what will spark admissions' interest in your exp. Passion is probably one of the the key items. So go for it!</p>

<p>I would say a little bit of a reach right now. That 660 CR for an outstanding IB program looks a little low but could do the job, ditto SAT IIs, try to get at least one high 700s score. The ECs shown are basic, some applicants will have much more.</p>
