<p>Definitely a chance. Clearly a strong student; there just isn't enough room to admit all the strong applicants, so many will not get in. Take your shot.</p>

<p>SAT a bit on the low end, average for NU last year was 1470 apparently. Try to boost that and maybe take some SAT IIs; could give her a boost in admissions.</p>

<p>I'd say good shot, essay could make or break application IMO.</p>
