Are my EC too week or does my D stand a chance at getting in.

hmm try to get those SATs up...so cal is quite competitive
all the people i know at Yale, from so cal, all had in the 2250-2300+ range :(

What if SAT's werent sent in and just ACT were sent. Make a difference?

do you have a daughter or are you chancing yourself??

LOL: this is curious. The poster goes from asking about her daughter to asking in the first person in previous threads too.

coffeeicecream, does it make a difference where you are from in the application process? if it does, do you happen to know how competitive ohio is?

There seems to be a slight advantage from under represented areas (big fish in a small pond). However Ohio isn't one of those areas. Think N Dakota or Wyoming or Alaska.

ah, i see. Thanks!

Are you your own daughter?

I am actually the mom, but had posted in prior post as my daughter and she didn't like that. Just didn't seem to make a difference. Still curious of her chances.

yeah, it makes a difference where you are from. so cal is more competitive that someother places. but if you are submitting just the ACT, it looks great! however, what about SAT 2s? You have to have atleast two, and if you send SAT 2s, the SAT 1 goes with it :/
