Chance a Government major?

<p>Hey guys, I am a senior at a medium sized high school (~1500 kids) in a small town in Wisconsin. My school is public, and semi-competitive (sends 7-10 kids to top 30 schools every year). Any chances are much appreciated!!</p>

<p>Profile: White, Male, Income $130,000</p>

<p>Objective:</p>

<p>-GPA: 3.89 unweighted, school does not rank</p>

<p>-SAT: 1570 CR+M</p>

<p>-ACT: 34 (36E 35M 34R 31S)</p>

<p>-SAT II's- Chemistry 770, Literature 740, World History 780</p>

<p>-8 AP's by graduation- Chemistry (3... ouch), Lang (5), World History (5), Lit, Calc BC, Physics B, US History, Stats. Basically, the most rigorous course load at my school. </p>

<p>The fact that you’re a prospective government major works against you. Who isn’t a prospective government major at Georgetown? When I told my interviewer what I wanted to major in, she was glad, and I quote “that you’re not just another government major.” On a more positive note, your SAT scores of phenomenal so that will work to your advantage.</p>

<p>this forum doesn’t seem to have many people…I think you have distinctive ECs that will work in your favor. Focus on the essay and you will do well.</p>
